It is an exciting time for South Wind Hospice. After years of dreaming of a new Hospice Home, the home has finally become a reality. The South Wind Hospice Home at 496 Yucca Lane provides quality end-of-life care to terminally ill patients who may have no family caregiver or who have special needs that cannot be met at home.

South Wind Hospice’s home-based program has been in operation since 1990. The addition of our new home eliminates the need for patients to transfer to another facility or organization for short-term inpatient or respite care, allowing us to provide a complete continuum of care.

Hospice care is a choice made by a patient and his or her family to enhance life. It is a program that emphasizes the dignity of individuals.

The beautifully landscaped Courtyard Garden serves as the focal point of the new Hospice Home and creates an atmosphere of peace and serenity. Plants, flowers, shrubs, and trees mix with the stone and brick to offer a special haven of enjoyment for all patients and visitors. The winding path of the Walkway of Inspiration runs through the center of this garden.

The Courtyard Garden features a walkway designed with hundreds of engraved commemorative bricks and granite squares. The Walkway of Inspiration provides an opportunity for you to create a lasting memorial or living remembrance. Investing in a brick (or several!) is a meaningful way to honor family, friends, co-workers, healthcare providers and special loved ones. Your special brick will become a permanent part of the South Wind Hospice Home and will be a testament to your support of this project.

You are invited to invest in a brick or granite square to help support the South Wind Hospice Home. Bricks and granite squares may be purchased at any time and will be placed on the walkway on a continuing basis. There are two donation options to choose from:

4” x 8” Single brick - $500 - up to 3 lines (20 spaces per line)

8” x 8” Granite square - $1,000 - up to 6 lines (12 spaces per line)
